Ryszard Kaszuba

It was with great sadness that this morning that I learned that Ryszard has passed away. It was Ryszard who approached me to help him in setting up an English speaking Rotary Club in Sopot after his term as District Governor finished. Our Club is one of his legacies. Our thoughts go out to his family and his huge number of friends at this very sad time. May he rest in Peace.

THE ANNUAL BALL 2015

The Club Annual Ball took place on 31st January 2015 in the Grand Hotel in Sopot. This year we had a record attendance and thanks to our many generous sponsors and our guests we have raised sufficient funds to keep our charity projects going: the disadvantaged Children’s English lessons and summer and winter camps, our support for No.1 School in Sopot and the projects which we have sponsored with our partner Club Hannover Ballhof from Germany for which we have been able to secure Matching Grants from Rotary International. In addition, we together with the Ladies Club, who have been our staunch allies and supporters for many years, have funded a special medical machine which was urgently needed for the Children’s Hospice in Gdynia which serves the needs of children from all of the Tri-city.

At the ball our Club President also signed a partnership agreement with RC Kalingrad’s President Denis Batalin with Tatiana Chernyaeva and our Monika Koblinska and other Club members looking on.
